Questions from families

Which Little Volley level fits my child?

LV1 serves kindergarten through second grade. LV2 serves third grade and inexperienced fourth graders. LV3 serves experienced fourth graders and fifth graders. Ask the club to confirm placement before enrolling.

Do we need a tryout?

Little Volley does not require a competitive-team tryout. It uses modified courts, lighter balls and small-sided play for an age-appropriate start.

How do we choose a location?

Compare the location-specific day, level times and fees. Grove is full as of October 8, 2026. North is scheduled to begin November 2; ask about current North and South places before registering.

About Little Volley

Little Volley is a developmental volleyball class for children in grades K–5. The program introduces young players to volleyball in a low-stress, fun environment while teaching correct setting, passing, hitting and team-play technique from the beginning.

02

Created for young players

Created by Marco Paglialunga and Mia Causevic from their European volleyball experience, Little Volley uses small 39' × 16' courts, low nets ranging from 4' to 6'6", lighter volleyballs and 3v3 instead of traditional 6v6. Special age-appropriate rules—including allowing the ball to bounce once or permitting a catch—make the game accessible and rewarding.

03

Safe

There is no physical contact with the opponent.

04

Teamwork

Volleyball is the only sport in which passing the ball is a rule and players depend completely on their teammates to score.

05

Interpersonal skills and cooperation

The high ratio of players to court space makes communication, cooperation and awareness necessary.

06

Play everywhere

Volleyball can be played indoors or outdoors on grass, sand and even snow.

07

Coordination, speed, agility and strength

The sport develops hand-eye coordination, trajectory evaluation, jumping, linear and non-linear movement, diving and rolling techniques.

08

Cognitive stimulation

Volleyball training supports psychological performance and targets areas of the brain associated with learning, memory and concentration.

09

Fun

Little Volley gives children a positive, age-appropriate way to discover and enjoy the game.
